10 Goats You Missed In Disney+’s Super Bowl Ad

One of the most fun and memorable commercials during Super Bowl LVI was Disney+’s goat ad. Disney+ used actual goats dressed as various Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and even National Geographic characters to highlight that their streaming content is the greatest of all time (GOAT).

Thanks to Awkwafina’s narration and some particularly recognizable costumes, audiences definitely noticed goats such as President Loki, Woody, Mirabel, Iron Man, and Chewbacca. However, there were many other cleverly costumed goats in the ad that fans may have missed.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Rapunzel

The Rapunzel goat can be briefly seen behind the employee in the reception area. With the focus on the Lion King goat, many fans likely missed Rapunzel.

Rapunzel can be seen in Tangled on Disney+. Ranker rates Rapunzel as the best Disney princess, making her a truly worthy choice to be featured in an ad that could’ve featured any number of Disney princesses.

Luca

The Luca goat can be seen standing in the elevator during the ad. This goat is more visible than many of the others. Yet, fans may have missed this one because the costume is not as iconic and recognizable as many of the other characters.

The goat costume uses the colors and aesthetic of Luca’s sea monster look. Luca only appears as a sea monster for part of the movie, and the colors are part of his physical appearance and not a costume.

Nemo

Nemo can be seen among the sea–pun intended–of goats standing by the elevators in the ad. Many of the goats took on the costumes and appearances of characters that are human or partly human, so it is interesting to see one dressed as a fish.

The final result of the goat and clownfish crossover is utterly adorable. Perhaps Disney and Pixar should consider finding a way to incorporate goats into the next story involving Nemo.

Carl Fredricksen

Thanks to the Carl Fredricksen goat, audiences were blessed with a goat wearing glasses. The thick-framed square glasses are an essential part of Carl’s aesthetic and seeing it on a goat is delightful.

This wasn’t the only goat representing Up, as the ad ends with a goat wearing a mini replica of Carl’s house and the colorful balloons that made it fly. According to Screen Rant reviews, Up is the best Pixar movie, and it is satisfying to see it represented in this Disney+ ad with multiple goats.

Hulk

All eyes were on the Star Wars goats when Awkwafina pointed them out. While everyone was looking at the Chewbacca and Stormtrooper goats, a Hulk goat briefly trotted past them.

While The Incredible Hulk is not available on Disney+, all of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies that Hulk has appeared in are on the streaming platform. The Hulk’s next confirmed MCU appearance will be exclusively on Disney+, as he is confirmed to be in the She-Hulk television series that will be released later in 2022.

Hawkeye

Given the vital role he played in Avengers: Endgame, it is fitting that Hawkeye was among the Avengers: Endgame goats seen running up the stairs in the ad. Fortunately, the Hawkeye goat seems to have had a much easier time of it than Hawkeye did in the movie, as the goat didn’t lose its entire family to the Blip or have to witness the Black Widow goat sacrificing herself.

While Hawkeye donned his purple costume from the comics in his Disney+ series, the Hawkeye goat appears to be wearing the black costume that the archer wore in most of his MCU appearances. Of course, the goat wouldn’t be Hawkeye without the bow and arrow slung across its back.

Black Widow

When the Avengers goats ran up the stairs, some of them like Iron Man were immediately recognizable because of their distinctive costume. It is easy to miss some of the others, such as Black Widow. Her hair color and style changed frequently throughout her many MCU appearances, but the goat version of her is sporting red hair.

The goat is also decked out in the wrist gauntlets that Black Widow uses in the Black Widow movie. Just as Black Widow should not be overlooked in the MCU, her goat should also not be overlooked in this commercial.

Arctic Explorer

Among all the Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney characters, National Geographic got some representation with the Arctic Explorer goat seen near the elevators. Unlike most of the other goats, the Arctic Explorer is not a specific character, but just a type of individual who is featured in some of National Geographic‘s content.

While it may not get as much media attention as some of Disney+’s other properties, National Geographic is an important part of the Disney+ platform and has a variety of rich content.

Mr. Incredible

The Incredibles doesn’t get the credit it deserves for both deconstructing and saving the superhero genre. This makes it a deserving inclusion among the greatest movies available on the Disney+ platform, and it comes as no surprise that its characters feature in this Super Bowl spot.

The Mr. Incredible goat can be spotted near the potted plant by the window. The costume colors are spot-on and one can only hope that Edna Mode would approve.

Elastigirl

In addition to her impressive superpowers, Elastigirl also has excellent hair. If there was going to be an Elastigirl goat, it is only fair that the goat have her excellent hair as well. The Elastigirl goat only appeared in the sixty-second ad that was released in the days after the Super Bowl and not in the original thirty-second ad.

The Elastigirl goat is near the elevators and not too far from the Nemo goat. Given that they are both Pixar properties, maybe Pixar will one day find a way to get this unlikely but undoubtedly delightful pairing of characters into a story together. For now, fans will have to settle for the goat versions of these characters hanging out.
