10 Most Annoying Disney Characters, Ranked

Disney movies usually feature pretty princesses, perfect princes, silly sidekicks, and vicious villains. And while these characters are made to be funny, inspiring, and family-friendly, there are some that are just annoying!

From supporting characters who act too goofy to bad guys and gals that are bossy and vain rather than evil and vengeful, fans have seen several less-than-desirable types like these over the years, thanks to this successful and beloved brand. And if the top 10 most annoying Disney characters of all time had to be ranked, then it seems that these are the 10 that belong on the list.

10 March Hare

For many, Wonderland seems like an ideal locale, with its whimsy and wonder. Nothing makes sense here, and everything is curiouser and curiouser, but there are a couple of residents who could have been a bit nicer, such as The March Hare.

He spends his days drinking tea with The Mad Hatter, who is famous for saying that the best people are bonkers. This hare took things too far, though, by ignoring Alice, mocking her, and offering up condescending remarks.

9 Tigger

The animals from the tale of Winnie the Pooh have been entertaining the world through books, shows, and movies for years. But it has to be said: Tigger can be pretty annoying!

There are plenty of characters and real people who are hyper, excitable, and full of spunk and spirit, but this dude never slows down, and his behavior sometimes causes chaos.

8 Cogsworth

As fans know, the people in the castle on Beauty & the Beast were cursed, turning them into objects (or a beast). For instance, Cogsworth, as his name implies, was transformed into a clock, and in this story, he was obviously the rule-following, stick-in-the-mud type, which offset Lumiere’s over-the-top personality.

But did he have to be so put out with everyone and everything all the time? Did he ever smile? Being cursed was not ideal, but he could have taken that time to make the most of the situation, look at the silver lining and teach viewers a valuable lesson.

7 Anastasia & Drizella

On a similar note, Cinderella has evil stepsisters named Anastasia and Drizella. And while their mother, Lady Tremaine, is a true villain who was out to make Cinderella’s life miserable, these two sisters are more annoying than anything else.

They are vain, despite looking… how they do. They are bossy and entitled, even though Cinderella was clearly the bright beauty of the family. And when it comes to the one hobby they seem to have (making music/singing), it is just scary!

6 Ray

In this flicks, there are usually animal sidekicks who offer friendship and support like Ray in The Princess and the Frog. He did tell Tiana that Naveen loves her, and he did rescue the real Naveen

There was just something about this Cajun firefly (RIP!), though, that made the scenes that featured him the possible worst parts of this tale.

5 Mushu

Another animal sidekick, this one from Mulan, is Mushu. Yes, he can be humorous and fun to hang out with, but he can also be selfish and impulsive.

Those are not the traits of a good friend, making him unkind and annoying.

4 Tito

Oliver & Company focuses on a kitten, Oliver, who joins a gang of dogs. One of the strays is named Ignacio Alonso Julio Federico de Tito, goes by Tito, is a chihuahua and has quite the temper.

Everyone has come across a yappy little dog in real life… one that may be cute but that doesn’t know how to settle down or leave a person alone. That is Tito!

3 Mater

As the title suggests and as fans know, Cars is about different types of vehicles that all talk and have distinct personalities and lives. One of the main cars in this film is Mater, a tow truck. Some people surely enjoy his amusing lines and actions, as he is that dim-witted character like Patrick from SpongeBob.

For many watching, however, hearing Larry the Cable Guy deliver these ridiculous lines is not funny at all.

2 Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear

Just as Cars centers around talking vehicles, Toy Story is about talking toys that come to life. And in Toy Story 3, a pink teddy bear—one with a Southern accent, a cane and the nickname Lotso—is introduced.

As the leader of toys at a daycare center, Lotso seems wise and helpful, but he turns out to be nothing more than a prison warden, existing to make lives miserable!

1 Darla

And then there is someone who may be the most annoying Disney character of all time: Darla from Finding Nemo. She is a dentist’s niece, so she sees the fish in the office quite regularly. She also shakes, abuses, scares, and even kills these fish!

Sure, it can take children some time to learn how to be gentle, but why did people keep allowing Darla to have pets?! Hopefully, she has outgrown this horribleness.
