Don’t Tell The Bride has a very similar concept to Say I Do, with this show also being about a wedding getting planned without the bride really knowing much about it. In Say I Do, the bride does find out and can provide a little input, but overall it is down to the groom to try and put together the dream wedding with the team of experts.
Don’t Tell The Bride does so in a slightly more comedic and less heartwarming manner, simply giving the groom a set amount of money and allowing them to create whatever they can with it. It’s less about the emotion and more on the humor, but it’s certainly a fun option for people.
9 Fairy Tale Weddings (2017 -)
You’ll have to be subscribed to Disney+ to check this series out, but it’s one that Say I Do fans will absolutely love. Weddings at Walt Disney World are true dreams for the ideal, classic princess feel, and that is what Fairy Tale Weddings showcases perfectly.
Each episode follows different couples getting married at dream destinations on Disney property. Whether it be the Cruise Line, Magic Kingdom, or EPCOT. It showcases how the Disney team goes above and beyond for its guests and they really are magical wedding experiences that make for fun viewing.
8 Love Is Blind (2020 -)
Love Is Blind is another Netflix show all based around the world of romance which has proven to be massively popular. The concept of this reality show is certainly unique and a little far-fetched, with two singletons never coming face to face, creating a connection purely on personality which leads to an engagement.
It then leads to weddings, some of which end in disaster, and others which end in pure romance. It isn’t so much about the creation of the wedding itself, but this show is more about the romance between the couples, which is always fun to get involved with.
7 Say Yes To The Dress (2007 -)
Fashion is a big part of Netflix’s Say I Do, and while it isn’t the core part of the show, it does play a significant section in each episode. For those that enjoy seeing the dresses and suits being created, then Say Yes To The Dress would be a perfect option to check out.
This focuses firmly on the dress choosing decision, which is obviously one of the biggest aspects of a wedding. It follows a group of fashion and dress experts help brides select the perfect dress, following the ups and downs that come with that process.

By the time the couples come together on Say I Do, they are very much in love, committed, and hoping to get married. However, Dating Around takes a look at things from the very start of that process, with one person per episode going on five different first dates.

One of the best parts of Netflix’s Say I Do is seeing the creation of the wedding itself. Hearing about a vision and seeing how it gets brought to life in different settings is brilliant, and for people who enjoy that design element, Amazing Interiors will be the show to watch.
This focuses heavily on people’s homes, with several houses being shown per-episode. It focuses on a transformation from start to finish and showcases the amazing details that can be created, which are always very impressive.
4 Whose Wedding Is It Anyway (2003 – 2010)
Whose Wedding Is It Anyway may have wrapped up 10 years ago, but it is still a perfect series for someone who enjoys Say I Do to go back and check out. This series focuses heavily on the wedding planners and the difficulties that they go through in creating a dream day for people.
It showcases the ups and downs and the difficulties of dealing with brides when they become angry and crazy. It’s a more realistic view of creating weddings than what Netflix’s Say I Do showcases, and that makes it a lot of fun.
3 Cheapest Weddings (2016)
While seeing the incredible glitz and glamour of the weddings on Netflix’s Say I Do are incredible to look at and admire, for a lot of people, the cost and expense of them are simply not doable. However, that is why Cheapest Weddings is a lot more relatable.
This show is all about doing things on a budget and trying to get things to be as nice as possible without breaking the bank. It shows the stress that comes with that as well, which is something that makes this show a lot of fun.
2 Wedding Cake Championship (2018 -)
Food is always a huge part of any wedding, with the cake obviously being a big part of that. Say I Do doesn’t typically put much attention onto the big cake itself, but the show does put a focus on the overall menu and there’s always great creativity involved.
Wedding Cake Championship also shows a lot of creativity as a group of bakers compete against each other to have their cakes chosen at people’s weddings. It’s a fun series that is lighthearted and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it a lot of fun to watch.
1 Queer Eye (2018 -)
When it comes to the ideal show for Say I Do fans to watch, there is nothing better than Queer Eye. The two shows are very similar in the fact it brings a team of openly gay men together to help others. While Say I Do focuses on weddings, Queer Eye is more about someone’s general life, with both shows being incredibly positive.
They’re both very uplifting and powerful to watch and will have audiences crying from the stories shared in one moment, and laughing hysterically the next. Both shows also showcase huge skill and creativity and they’re both must-see shows on Netflix.
