Amy also believed Tammy was about to lose her life when the older Slaton sibling came down with a severe case of pneumonia. Tammy’s doctors have made it clear that the longer the reality star puts off achieving her weight loss goals and undergoing bariatric surgery, the more likely she is to be met with a life-threatening illness. Recently, Tammy contracted the deadly COVID virus, which many fans feared would be the end of the reality star. Although her battle with the coronavirus resulted in Tammy relying on oxygen tubes to breathe for months, the entertainer’s followers were relieved to find she was kicking.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for Tammy since she recovered from COVID, however. On November 23, Tammy took to TikTok to confirm that she was back in the hospital. The Slaton sibling explained her latest trip to the emergency room is the result of carbon dioxide poisoning. Although this concerned the star’s fans, Tammy put their worries at ease and promised she’s getting better and would be out of the hospital soon. Tammy did have to go through one major change before leaving the healthcare facility, however. In lieu of her oxygen tube, Tammy now relies on a trach tube for breathing. In an Instagram post from November 30, Tammy’s tube was featured front and center, which garnered a slew of comments from stunned fans. I truly can’t believe covid didn’t kill her.” From vaping to not committing to her weight loss diet, it’s reasonable for fans to assume Tammy isn’t taking her health seriously.
