90 Day Fiancé: All About Chuck Potthast’s Criminal Record & Past Arrests

On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season six, the Potthast family’s drama continues to be a focus, and we’re ready to look back at Chuck Potthast’s problems with the law. Fans are interested in learning about the criminal records of Potthast family members, including patriarch Chuck. While Libby and Andrei Castravet are busy feuding with her siblings Charlie, Becky, and Jenn, those family members have had their mugshots exposed by viewers, and so has Chuck.

While Chuck is known for leading the chaotic Florida family, his four children, who appear on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off show, have all been criticized. Libby is called out for being entitled and arrogant, and her husband Andrei is considered vulgar and crass. A lot of franchise fans find sisters Becky and Jenn greedy, dramatic, and annoying. Meanwhile, “worst family member” Charlie is considered a hothead who clashes with Andrei whenever he can. Charlie and Andrei are known to dislike each other, though Andrei was busy feuding with Becky on Sunday night’s episode when Charlie wisely opted out of the family RV trip.

With the Potthast family mug shots circulating on the Internet, plenty of 90 Day Fiancé franchise fans are curious as to why Chuck was behind bars. Distractify reported that the family patriarch faced trouble with the law over a decade ago for missed child support payments totaling $17,564. While the publication stated that he faced a contempt of court charge for the case, InTouch reported that the situation resulted in a March 2009 arrest due to unpaid child support. Chuck was released on bond shortly after his arrest and ordered to pay the lump sum owed. Though this is the only incident that resulted in Chuck being arrested, as far as the Internet is concerned, it isn’t the end of his sketchy behavior and possibly criminal acts.

Chuck has been accused of running a scam through the family house flipping business. This is the business that his children are so reluctant to share with Andrei, who will likely never make peace with the family. His business, CDC Capital Investments LLC, has received many complaints online. The Better Business Bureau has had at least one complaint filed, and tenants have claimed that they rented properties through Chuck that were already a part of foreclosure proceedings.

This situation allegedly forced numerous tenants to evacuate the properties without accessing refunds. Chuck and his team were allegedly completely unhelpful and unresponsive and gave disgruntled tenants the runaround when confronted. Many former customers were appalled by the company and said that Chuck was worse than a slumlord. They consider his company a criminal enterprise filled with clowns and con artists. However, it does not appear that any legal action has been taken against the business yet.

Overall, the Potthast family is considered by many viewers to be trashy and dramatic. 90 Day Fiancé fans are sick of watching the family clash with Andrei and stir up drama for attention. Fans have accused the family of feigning drama and starting trouble to secure a family spin-off show. Many are hoping that the Potthast family will not continue on in the franchise, though some speculate that 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? will not be their last time on TLC, given the family members’ intense love of drama.
