90 Day Fiancé: Who Is Eden, Musician Behind Natalie’s Music Video Appearance

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé season 8 fans are wondering if Natalie Mordovtseva has been acting during all of her fights with Mike Youngquist. This is because clips of Ukrainian TV shows featuring Natalie were found by super sleuths. Natalie, who calls herself an “actress, journalist, and reality TV star,” also appeared in a popular music video. The strange storyline in the video seems to reflect her life with Mike, and the singer-songwriter is Jonathon Ng AKA Eden.

90 Day Fiancé season 8 has had quite a few controversial relationships, including Stephanie Davison and Ryan Carr’s (and Tarik Myers and Hazel Cagalitan’s), but it’s Natalie (who really wants a baby) who always grabs attention with Mike. With Natalie coming back to Mike after having thrown his ring in season 7, fireworks were expected, but not to the extent of him declaring he wasn’t in love. After seeing Natalie’s brilliant acting skills, firstly in her crime shows and then in a post-apocalyptic music video for Eden, fans are wary, as they think that all the onscreen fights between her and Mike may be fake.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

As described in a press release for Eden’s video of “Float,” the plot revolves around the breakdown of a young couple’s relationship after a supernatural encounter with a meteor. Directed by Zhang + Knight, it’s the final installment in Eden’s “Vertigo” trilogy, which follows the videos for “Gold” and “Crash.” The video was released on Jan 19 2018 and it shows Natalie enjoying a car ride with her partner, where they stop midway after coming across a strange object. What follows is Natalie seeing her love life ripping at the seams.

The end of the music video shows Natalie walking away from the camera, and perhaps walking away from her lover. While she does this, Eden croons, “So bring me down and drown me out. I’ll be waiting here when you’re ready. And I’ll lay me down, unfinished now. It hurts.” Sounds a lot like Natalie’s thoughts about her indecisive partner Mike, doesn’t it?

Perhaps Dublin-based vocalist-producer and multi-instrumentalist (and occasional model) Eden had a premonition about Natalie’s future reality TV life as he penned these soul-stirring lyrics. Eden rose to fame in 2015, with an EP that was recorded and produced by him in the bedroom of his childhood home. With absolutely no promotion, Eden’s work still went viral. He garnered 120 million streams, got a sold-out US headline tour, and attracted tons of social media followers.

At 25, Eden now has over 1 billion streams. He is well-known in the industry for his electro-pop music. His music features a balance of masterfully engineered instrumental tracks and emotional lyrics. The words he sings are quite poetic.

Considering 90 Day Fiancé star Natalie was the leading lady in Eden’s popular music video, which has “1,435,888 views” so far on YouTube, she appears to have had a pretty strong resume before meeting Mike. Is this what gives Natalie the arrogance to chide Mike’s “class” and IQ sometimes? She’s even said she’s more beautiful than him. Natalie is polishing her acting skills by making those much-talked-about cooking videos on YouTube, but maybe she’s planning to take over Hollywood soon.

90 Day Fiancé season 8 airs Sundays at 8pm EST on TLC.
