90 Day Fiance: Why Larissa Lima Used To Love Colt Johnson

Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson are 90 Day Fiancé season 6 alums who met in Cancun, Mexico, and we’re here to talk about why Larissa fell in love with Colt. According to Larissa, they had been texting and talking online for the duration of their connection, so they decided to meet. Colt proposed five days after their first in-person meeting. This was how the reality star found herself in America, on her way to becoming the social media influencer that she is today.

It’s clear to fans that Larissa Lima is quite a polarizing figure. Whether she’s beloved by viewers or despised, she still gets talked about. Her time with Colt was quite tumultuous, to say the least. Larissa ended up in police custody after some of their explosive battles. When it came to relationship turbulence, this former couple had its fair share, and Colt’s strong bond with his mother Debbie didn’t help. Larissa has had a lot of highs and lows during and after her romance with Colt. However, she’s found success away from him and out of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Colt is now engaged to Vanessa Guerra and he’s still part of the franchise. While Colt and Larissa have moved on, they’ll never forget their time together.

When considering all of the arrests and fights with Debbie, a lot of fans wonder if Larissa Lima ever really cared about Colt. When they were starting out, she seemed to be all in. She appeared committed to making things work with Colt. At the least, she was excited to be in America with him, even though she has said that she regrets leaving Brazil now.

In an interview with ET, Larissa Lima stated that she and Colt should have had a moment alone to talk. She said, “Colt, you were important to me. I believe I was also important to you…” She went on to express that a lot of the drama that surrounded them was provoked by his mom Debbie, his other family, and his friends. She thinks that talking to Colt one on one would quiet down the noise. If that happened, they might get some closure. It’s probable that Larissa fell for Colt because he promised her an American Dream fairytale, but that just didn’t pan out. Larissa wanted more from life than Colt could give her. She had different values.

However, Larissa wasn’t always mean to Colt. There were times on the show where Larissa would approach Colt first to apologize. She might be known for her regal quality (Khloé Kardashian called her a “queen”) but she had some softer moments where she would admit that she was in the wrong. While Larissa may have cared about Colt, she seemed to care about herself a lot more. Ultimately, the answer to the question, “Why did Larissa love Colt?” is that she probably didn’t love him.

If she didn’t love him, it’s no surprise that they were at each other’s throats so soon after they met. Some franchise fans thought that Larissa looked borderline disgusted when she was around him. She didn’t seem to respect him at all. Larissa didn’t try to get along with his family and didn’t have any faith in him. Instead, she appeared to look at him as her one-way ticket to America, and she even confirmed this in later interviews, saying that it was her master plan. She even hid the fact that she had two kids back home so she would be more appealing to him.

Plenty of franchise fans speculate that Larissa never truly loved or cared about Colt. They also think that she and Eric are a very bad match. This conclusion that Larissa and Colt were incompatible came from watching them on 90 Day Fiancé and also from the fact that they both acted bitter about their split. In the beginning, there was some level of care for Larissa on Colt’s end. However, with Larissa, it was always about her being able to stay in America without getting deported.
