Contestants on American Ninja Warrior have legions of fans, but there is one participant who has everyone cheering: Tiana Webberley.
The 29-year-old first made an appearance on American Ninja Warrior in 2015. She competed in the Venice qualifiers and fought her way to the Tilting Table where she lost her balance. However, she emerged as a fan favorite because of her hard work and dedication. Tiana, nicknamed “Sweet T” for her caring and enthusiastic personality, has competed in seasons 8 through 12, achieving great success including scaling the Warped Wall—making her only the 12th woman to do so. After six seasons of the show, Tiana recently hit her first buzzer with a time in the top three for the females, causing an outpouring of support. So, who is “Sweet T”?
Born and raised in California, Tiana competed in pole vaulting throughout high school as a D1 collegiate athlete. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Cal State University Northridge, her father encouraged her interest in American Ninja Warrior. Standing at just 5’4″, Tiana has accomplished big success beyond the obstacle course. As a professional stuntwoman and actor, she has been in 2017’s Baywatch movie and the TV movie Shelter. Tiana has also shown off her awesome moves in the television shows The Last Ship, ArrestedDevelopment, and 9-1-1. All told, her resume as a stunt performer is quite impressive.

Tiana may be known for her prowess over physical obstacles, but she is also beloved for supporting those around her and her family. To her 38,000-plus Instagram followers, Tiana frequently posts about raising awareness and funds for the Pediatric-Adolescent Diabetes Research & Education (PADRE) Foundation. In a Facebook post, she revealed her mother has diabetes and has struggled with the disease over the years. The PADRE Foundation specializes in education and supporting children and their families in the diabetic community. They even created a “Sweet T” shirt fundraiser in her honor.
Of course, Tiana’s Instagram does not disappoint for those looking for fitness motivation or following her American Ninja Warrior journey. Her account is filled with photos from training, stunts, and the American Ninja Warrior set, with some inspirational shots of abs and puppies throughout. All told, it offers a neat look at Tiana’s life, both at home and at work. When you consider all the amazing things this 29-year-old woman has accomplished so far, she is already quite the warrior—no matter what happens on the show.
