Bachelor: What Happened To Ashley S. After Chris Soules’ Season

It has been several years since The Bachelor fans have heard from Ashley Salter, and now they are wondering what the former contestant has been doing. Long-time fans of the dating series will remember Ashley from The Bachelor season 19 with Chris Soules. Even though she only made it to week 4, Ashley made quite the impression on fans during her time on The Bachelor. She was quickly pegged as the “odd” one of the group when she initially referred to a stray pomegranate as an onion and pulled it from a tree.

Despite her loveable and quirky personality, Chris was not able to see a future with Ashley and sent her home after four weeks. After she didn’t find love with Chris, Ashley headed to Bachelor In Paradise later that summer, where she continued to look for the love of her life. However, things did not go as planned for Ashley, who was on BIP with Ashley Iaconetti who welcomed her first child, and she left Mexico without a ring on her finger again.

So what is Ashley S. up to now? Well, shortly after the former contestant appeared on BIP, she announced she was engaged to her college sweetheart, Austin Brannen. During an exclusive interview with People back in September 2015, Ashley spoke about her whirlwind engagement with her long-time boyfriend. “We are very happy and look forward to spending our lives together,” Ashley said at the time. Austin proposed to Ashley over Labor Day weekend in 2015 on top of the helicopter pad of the W Hotel overlooking downtown Atlanta. The couple had initially met and dated throughout college before Ashley was ever on The Bachelor. A few months after the pair got engaged, Ashley, who was on BIP with Jade Roper, revealed she and Austin were expecting their first child together.

A year after they got engaged, Ashley and Austin tied the knot at the Atlantis Hotel & Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas in September 2016. In April 2016, Ashley welcomed her son Brooks Hartman Brannen, who was in attendance for their destination wedding. More than three years after welcoming their first child, Ashley announced she was expecting her second in December 2019. Ashley gave birth to her daughter Salter Kennedy Brannen in March 2020, right before the lockdown caused by COVID-19. Since welcoming the latest addition to her family, Ashley has become less active on social media. Her last Instagram post was from April 2020, and it is unclear if Ashley, who was on BIP with Jared Haibon, had been keeping her fans updated on her life through her Instagram Stories.

Since appearing on The Bachelor, Ashley’s life has completely changed. She was engaged within months of being eliminated from BIP, got pregnant, welcomed her son, and then got married. Ashley is finally living the family life she went on the show to try and find.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
