Bachelorette: What Happened to Kaitlyn Bristowe's Former Co-Star Britt Nilsson

Even though a new season of The Bachelorette usually starts with one leading lady during night one, season 11 made Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson compete for the leading spot. During that season, the show began with Kaitlyn and Britt meeting all of the guys before entering the mansion. However, in a shocking twist, the men got to vote on which one of the ladies they would like to become the next Bachelorette lead. In the end, more men chose Kaitlyn, so Britt was sent home on night one.

After Britt Nilsson filmed her appearance on The Bachelorette season 11, contestant Brady Toops revealed to Kaitlyn that he was there to get to know Britt, and that he had to go follow his heart. So Brady went to Britt and explained that he wanted to be with her, and the two dated for several months after. Though ultimately, the relationship didn’t work out as the pair broke up during the summer of 2015.

After her relationship with Brady didn’t work out, Britt Nilsson reconnected with an old boyfriend she had been with prior to filming The Bachelorette, and the rest was history from there. After a short four-month engagement, the couple wed in September of 2017 and now have one daughter together. When it comes to her time in Bachelor Nation, Britt opened up in a YouTube video (seen below) about how being on the show made her struggle with her addiction and bulimia.

In the video, Britt Nilsson revealed that she was binging on food to cope with her anxieties and insecurities. She Bachelorette star said, “I didn’t feel pretty enough, I didn’t know what was going on, I missed my family. And I hadn’t acted out that way in a long time.” After appearing on The Bachelorette, Britt committed to recovering from everything that went on. Even though this is a show about finding love, sometimes people just need time away from the spotlight to find the one they were looking for all along.

Even though Britt did find a romantic partner on The Bachelorette, it didn’t end up working out with that person and she went on to marry someone else. After her time on the show, maybe it was a good thing that she married outside of Bachelor Nation as she seems to be doing a lot better than she was during her time on the show.
