Dating Around season 2, episode 4 saw Heather and Ernesto hit it off and go for a second date. Now, fans of the Netflix show are wondering whether they’re still together. While many couples that meet on dating shows rarely go the distance, there was something about Ernesto and Heather’s connection that seemed electric right from the get-go.
Ernesto was essentially in competition with four other guys on Dating Around. But, Truman, Deavhon, Lawrence, Montrell all failed to win Heather’s heart, although, she and Lawrence did share a kiss. Animal lover Heather was less than impressed when Truman revealed that one of his hobbies was hunting. She just didn’t seem to have the same chemistry with any of the other guys that she did with Ernesto.
By the looks of Heather’s Instagram account, Heather and Ernesto could well be an official couple! On an Instagram post dated June 1st, Ernesto commented, “So well said. thank you for standing up for love and what’s right. You’re courageous and brave and I love you for always standing up for what’s right.” Heather replied, “thank you for always being such a supportive & encouraging partner . I love you for the same reasons , you wanna like change the world together or something?” Ernesto wrote back, “haha yaaa duuuhh. Wanna make it a little bit better than when we came in“. From this exchange via IG, we could deduce that Ernesto and Heather are the real deal.
Even more interestingly, both Heather and Ernesto said that they lived at home with their parents on the Netflix series. Ernesto also mentioned during Dating Around episode 4 that he had bought a house in New Orleans. As of June 16th on his IG page, Ernesto was sharing stories of the house renovation, so could the couple be taking the next step by moving in together?
Born and raised in New Orleans, Latino Ernesto has both Honduran and Guatemalan heritage. Heather revealed that she’s Sicilian on both sides and that underneath all the girly-ness she is “for sure a tomboy“. The Dating Around star said, “When I was little I used always to tell my dad ‘I’m gonna be the first girl in the NFL’, I’m five foot, that was never going to happen.” Makeup artist Heather also revealed that she’s a creative at heart and said that her passion for makeup comes from loving the art of it, she said, “I don’t really care about the beauty of it“. While Heather was pretty polite with her questions to all the guys, the Pescatarian showed her interest in Ernesto, in particular, when she said, “Where are you travelling to next? Or where am I coming with you next?” When Ernesto later revealed that he did charity work with the local kids, Heather fell even more in love and joked that he was a saint. It was clearly meant to be as the pair vibed over Planet Earth, David Attenborough and Peaky Blinders and rounded their date off with a kiss in a taxi.
