Dead By Daylight: Best Builds For Point Farming (Survivor)

If players are going to survive in Dead by Daylight, they are going to need Bloodpoints. In the game, Bloodpoints are one of six kinds of currency players earn, and players can use them to unlock new add-ons, offerings, items, and perks through the Bloodweb. They are earned after every match based on performance in four categories: Altruism, Boldness, Objectives, and Survival. Killers and Survivors each have different Bloodwebs with different items to unlock. Players can only have up to one million Bloodpoints at a time, and it’s a good idea to try and get as many as possible in a single game to buy more items and add-ons in the Bloodweb.

Players can unlock certain perks that make it easier to farm Bloodpoints in the game so they can unlock more teachables, reach the cap, or simply progress their character. For survivors, there are a few perks they will want to be sure to get to help them earn the maximum possible number of Bloodpoints per game. Between specific builds and survival tactics, players should be able to make the most of their Bloodpoint award. Here’s how to build a Survivor to earn the maximum number of Bloodpoints in Dead by Daylight.

Best Survivor Builds for Point Farming in Dead By Daylight

The two must-have perks for Survivors who want to Point Farm in Dead by Daylight are We’re Gonna Live Forever and Self-Care.

We’re Gonna Live Forever is a perk that is unique to David King until Level 30. After that point, the teachable version can become unlocked, and other Survivors can learn this particular skill. Each time the Survivor takes a hit for another or rescues them, Bloodpoint gains increase by 25%. The perk has three Tiers. At Tier 1, Bloodpoint gains will increase up to 50%. At Tier 2, they will increase up to 75%, and at Tier 3, they will increase up to 100%. This means the player will want to rescue another Survivor or take a hit to save them multiple times per game.

The Self-Care perk is unique to Claudette Morel until Level 40. After that point, the teachable version will unlock, and other Survivors can learn this perk to use. With Self-Care, players can heal themselves without a med kit, just at a reduced speed. Like We’re Gonna Live Forever, there are three Tiers to this perk. At Tier 1, players heal themselves at 30% healing speed and the perk increases the efficiency of healing item self-heal by 50%. At Tier 2, players heal themselves at 40% healing speed, and the perk increases the efficiency of healing item self-heals by 75%. At Tier 3, players heal themselves at 50% healing speed, and the perk increases the efficiency of healing item self-heals by 100%. This is important because healing the player character or others helps players earn Bloodpoints in the Survival category, one of the most difficult categories to earn Bloodpoints in to begin with.

Some players suggest foregoing perks like No One Left Behind, as these can often fail and lead a player to lose more Bloodpoints than they could have earned if the plan had succeeded. Instead, Survivor players will want to invest in more meta survival perks like  Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, or Dead Hard. Players should also be sure to pick up Spine Chill in this build so they can have a better idea of when a killer is watching them and make it harder for stealth killers to take them by surprise. Ideally, players will use David for this first until they unlock these perks as teachables for the remaining survivor characters.

If players would prefer a build that maximizes Bloodpoints without a focus on healing themselves or other characters, they could try a build that includes the following perks:

  • Prove Thyself
  • Bond
  • Empathy
  • Spine Chill

It’s not a good idea to try and both heal and complete objectives, so players should choose one path to maximize possible points.
