Hello Neighbor 2 Announced For PS4 & PS5, Playable Beta Coming Spring

In a new blog post, it was announced that Hello Neighbor 2 is coming to PS4 and PS5 platforms. Hello Neighbor 2 is a sequel to Hello Neighbor from 2017. The game is a first-person stealth title developed by Eerie Quest/Dynamic Pixels and published by tinyBuild Games. The first game featured a simple premise revolving around investigating the secrets of the protagonist’s sinister neighbor. The sequel will expand on that concept even further, combining social horror with family-friendly content.

The original game, Hello Neighbor, was first released on PC and Xbox One, and 6 months later in 2018 on Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PlayStation 4. Similarly, the sequel was announced for PC and Xbox consoles, with the beta coming to players on April 7, 2022, following a playable alpha of Hello Neighbor 2 last year. In order to participate in the exclusive Hello Neighbor 2 Beta, players need to pre-order the game.

On February 2, 2022, an official post from the PlayStation Blog announced that Hello Neighbor 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2022. It was noted that the Hello Neighbor 2 Beta will also be coming to PlayStation consoles alongside its Xbox and PC releases. On April 7, 2022, players across all platforms who purchased the game before its release will be able to give the beta a try and experience the title’s new content.

In Hello Neighbor 2 players will be playing as Quentin, a reporter investigating a series of missing people in a town. Among the list of missing people is Nicky Roth, the protagonist of the original title. In addition to a new protagonist, the gameplay area of Hello Neighbor 2 will be much bigger than its predecessor, with not only the home of one neighbor, but the entire open world of Raven Brooks free to be explored. Players will have ample opportunity for stealth as they try to escape such threats as Mr. Anderson, who learns from Hello Neighbor 2 players as the game progresses.

The first Hello Neighbor showcased a unique graphic style and immersive stealth gameplay that endeared it to fans, even if it didn’t manage to achieve widespread success. Hello Neighbor 2 is going to expand on that visual presentation and gameplay conceit with a whole new open world. The possibilities seem much wider than the single house from the first game. Players will need to adopt and improvise in order to avoid getting caught. There will be a lot more room for creativity and originality in the sequel, and with the announcement that it’s coming to PS4 and PS5, perhaps a wider audience will be able to enjoy this distinct family friendly horror experience.

Hello Neighbor 2 is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC in 2022.
