Miesha Tate has won the first Head of Household competition on Celebrity Big Brother 3 and fans want to learn more about why she’s famous and where she got her nickname “Cupcake” from. Unlike UFC viewers who have known her for years, Big Brother fans were introduced to Miesha “Cupcake” during the CBB season 3 premiere this week. She has entered Celebrity Big Brother as a 35-year-old UFC mixed martial artist, which instantly makes her a competition threat.
During her introduction at the grand premiere of CBB3, Miesha made it known that she’s going into Big Brother to play the game and get to the end. As an athlete, she is naturally a very competitive person who doesn’t like losing. That spark will be even bigger considering that she’s surrounded by other celebrities that might not be able to keep up with her. Miesha will now be in the spotlight of the show since she won the first HOH of Celebrity Big Brother season 3, so viewers want to learn even more about her.
Miesha is a very famous mixed martial artist in the UFC league. As of this writing, she is in the top 15 for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight ranking. Her very impressive UFC track record consists of four wins by knockout and seven wins by submission. In an interview with UFC, Miesha explained where her “Cupcake” nickname comes from: “You can’t judge a book by its cover, and that’s where the nickname ‘Cupcake’ came into play. I might look soft or feminine on the outside, but that has nothing to do with what I’m made up with on the inside.”

Unfortunately, the Celebrity Big Brother live feeds have been delayed until Friday, February 4. This means that fans still haven’t gotten to know Miesha on a personal level by watching her inside the CBB house. Alas, her reputation is being a total bad-ass who isn’t afraid of challenging herself and proving her naysayers wrong. Miesha is originally from Tacoma, Washington. She is 5’5″ and reportedly weighs 135 lbs. On the personal side, Miesha is married to MMA fighter Johnny Nuñez and has two kids with him. As most UFC and MMA athletes do, Miesha and Johnny currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With “Cupcake” being her nickname, there is a chance that Miesha’s fellow houseguests on CBB3 might underestimate her at first. With that said, Miesha won the first HOH competition of the season, so she is clearly not afraid of showing off. Hopefully, her social game will be strong enough to make her less of a threat who might get targeted in the house.
