How to Earn Grateful Offerings in WoW: Shadowlands

There are several new kinds of currency for players to earn in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, and each one serves a different purpose to help players navigate the afterlife and defeat The Jailer. Once players select their Covenant and head to the Sanctum in their Covenant’s home world, they can begin earning Renown ranks. Reaching certain Renown ranks allows players to continue with the Covenant’s campaign and unlock various upgrades and cosmetic rewards exclusive to their Covenant. After unlocking different rewards from the Renown vendor in the Covenant’s home world, players will need the currency to purchase them.

This currency for purchasing rewards from the Renown vendor is called Grateful Offerings, and they are obtained by putting Anima back into the various key areas of the Covenant’s home world. The residents of those areas will reward three Grateful Offerings per activity generated and completed in the area. Players will need to unlock the Anima Conductor Sanctum upgrade and use some Anima and Redeemed Souls if they want to earn enough Grateful Offerings to purchase every cosmetic the Covenant has to offer, including the Covenant-specific mount, armor sets, sigils, weapons, and more. Here’s how to earn Grateful Offerings in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

How to Earn Grateful Offerings in WoW: Shadowlands

To start earning Grateful Offerings, players will need to unlock the Anima Conductor and build it in their Covenant’s Sanctum. This can usually be done after the player completes chapter one of their Covenant’s campaign. Depending on when players choose to purchase this upgrade, it will cost at least 1000 Anima and 1 Redeemed Soul.

The Anima Conductor will direct Anima streams to areas in the Covenant’s home world. This is especially useful as, according to the lore, there has been an Anima drought that sealed off Anima streams to various places in the Shadowlands. When the player directs a stream of Anima to an area, they will unlock new daily and world quests, along with some enemies and treasures to make that location come alive.

Players can access two activities but can only open one stream, enabling one activity, every 24 hours. Logging in daily will technically allow the player to access both activities, as the rewards from each activity will reset at the daily reset while the activity itself lasts 24 hours from the moment it is activated. It’s a good idea to do this, as each activity awards 3 Grateful Offerings. Players should also note they will need to spend some of their Anima to open a stream. Each one costs 25 Anima from the Sanctum’s reserves, and, if the stream closes, players will need to spend another 25 Anima to reopen it and gain access to that area again.

The best and most expensive cosmetics from the Covenant’s Renown vendor typically cost around 50 Grateful Offerings, but these won’t unlock until players get closer to Rank 40 in Renown. Until then, they can continue using the Anima Conductor daily and saving their Grateful Offerings. Players can eventually earn enough Grateful Offerings to purchase all the Covenant-themed cosmetics available at the Renown vendor, but it will take a long time. To speed up the process, players can save Anima and Redeemed Souls to upgrade their Anima Conductor.

There are three possible upgrades for players to unlock. They cost more Anima and Redeemed Souls each, but they will also each open an additional 2 streams. A fully upgraded Anima Conductor can have six potential streams, meaning six activities that reward Grateful Offerings. As players enable more activities, they will eventually unlock the ability to reinforce a stream. A stream can be reinforced when players have completed 10 activities in that area. Reinforcing a stream keeps it permanently open, and players will no longer have to spend Anima to open it. Eventually, if players upgrade their Anima Conductor all three available Tiers, they can have six activities going each day, at 3 Grateful Offerings apiece, and purchase every Covenant cosmetic available in Shadowlands.
