How to Unlock Wolverine’s Claws in Fortnite

During Week 6 of FortniteSeason 4, players had the chance to finally unlock Wolverine. As in the past few seasons, Season 4 came with a special skin that could only be unlocked by players after they completed six weeks of challenges. Once players completed the last challenge, defeating Wolverine at Weeping Woods, they unlocked the basic skin. The Wolverine skin also has two variants. The first is the Classic Wolverine skin in the traditional orange and yellow colors. Players unlocked this by completing ten total Weekly Challenges from Weeks 5 and 6 combined. The second variant is a rumored Logan-style option, which should become available sometime around Week 9.

Like the Battle Pass skins, the Wolverine skin also comes with a built-in emote that must be unlocked through a set of Awakening challenges. Players should be able to access these soon after unlocking the skin. They will need to defeat Wolverine again to take and use his Mythic Weapon Superpower, regain 100 health as Wolverine, and emote as Wolverine to access this emote and an extra cosmetic, a banner with Wolverine’s fist and claws on it. The built-in SNIKT! emote allows the player to access Wolverine’s claws, and though they won’t be useful in a fight, they still look intimidating. Here’s how to complete the three Awakening challenges to unlock Wolverine’s claws as a built-in emote in Fortnite Season 4.

How to Unlock Wolverine’s Claws in Fortnite

First, players need to deal 200 damage using Wolverine’s Claws, the Mythic Weapon dropped by the NPC boss in Weeping Woods. Players may have already completed this challenge without knowing it after defeating Wolverine the first time. In case they haven’t, they’ll need to defeat him once again and snag the Mythic Weapon. Then, they need to seek out opponents or henchmen and deal the 200 damage. The claws are powerful, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to reach 200 quickly.

Next, players will need to regain health with the Wolverine skin equipped. Unfortunately, the skin itself has no healing abilities. Players simply need to engage an opponent or give themselves fall damage by jumping from high altitudes, then heal themselves using any of the healing items available in the game, such as Medkits, campfires, and consumables. Once they regain 100 health, this challenge will register as complete. This will earn players the banner.

Finally, players simply need to emote as Wolverine. They can enter the match with the skin equipped and choose any spot on the map. Then, they should open their emote wheel. The SNIKT! emote will likely be the only one available, and selecting it will allow Wolverine to extend his claws. This will unlock the emote for the player to use any time during the game.

Once players reach Levels 140, 180, and 220, they will have the opportunity to unlock the Silver, Gold, and Holo foil skin variations for the Wolverine skin.

Fortnite is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with versions in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
