Is Attack On Titan On Netflix, Hulu Or Prime? Where To Watch Online

Where can giant anime hit Attack On Titan be found online, and is it available on Netflix, Hulu or Prime? The Attack On Titan franchise began back in 2009 with the Hajime Isayama created manga series. The story is set in a fantasy world where what remains of mankind shelter in a huge, walled city to protect them from man-eating creatures called Titans. After decades of peace, the wall is suddenly breached, leading to a war between the survivors and the Titans. As the story unfolds the origins of the giants and the dark truth behind the city itself is slowly revealed.

Attack On Titan’s popularity really kicked with the debut of the anime series, which brought to life the gory battles and great characters. Attack On Titan is now a full-blown franchise, receiving two live-action films, video games and other spinoffs. The anime is set to end with the upcoming fourth season, though fans are concerned the show will have to condense a lot of major manga plotlines to wrap up the story properly.

For those wanting to rewatch the first few seasons of Attack On Titan, or to check it out for the first time, there are MANY platforms to choose from. The anime isn’t currently available on Prime in the U.S., though the first three seasons are on Hulu, while the first season is on Netflix. Other streaming options include Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, and Funimation.

Every current season of Attack On Titan is also available to purchase from iTunes, Amazon or FandangoNOW. Other options for finding the show can be found on JustWatch. Given the popularity of the franchise its almost surprising it has yet to receive an English language blockbuster adaptation, though one is currently in development with IT’s Andy Muschietti signed to direct. That said, there’s little sign of the movie actually moving ahead.

The previous Attack On Titan live-action movies from Japan proved disappointing to fans, with the film’s having to drop a lot of characters and stories from the manga and show. At the very least the depiction of the Titans themselves was surprisingly creepy and effective, and the movies didn’t skimp on the bloodshed of the source material. Hopefully, the upcoming fourth and final season of the Attack On Titan anime will prove a fitting and emotionally satisfying end. Game Of Thrones season 8 showed first hand the danger of trying to condense way too much story into too few episodes, but maybe the anime will be able to avoid that problem.
