Jackass Forever Stars Reveal Their Favorite & Most Regrettable Stunts

Jackass Forever stars Johnny Knoxville and Chris Pontius reveal their favorite and most regrettable stunts. Created by Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze, the stupid stunt franchise began back in 2000 with a series on MTV that ran for three seasons. Although the show was short-lived, its concept continued through several spin-offs and the 2002 feature-length film, Jackass: The Movie, which featured most of the original cast. It was followed by two sequels, Jackass Number Two and Jackass 3D, in 2006 and 2010.

Now the Jackass crew is gearing up for the release of the next film in the franchise based on death-defying stunts and pranks – Jackass Forever. The latest installment will feature the return of most of the core members. Other than Knoxville and Pontius, the film will star Steve-O, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren, Preston Lacy, and Bam Margera. This will also be the first movie to introduce newcomers, including the first female Jackass member, Rachel Wolfson. They will also be joined by various celebrity guest stars from Eric Andre, athletes Tony Hawk, Jalen Ramsey, and P.K. Subban to musicians Machine Gun Kelly and Tyler, the Creator.

Knoxville and Pontius recently fielded some questions from fans during an AMA on Reddit, during which one user asked which stunt they regret the most and which is their favorite. The Jackass stars responded, with Pontius saying his biggest regret is the glove of bullet ants, calling it the “most dreadful thing” he’s done. Knoxville, on the other hand, has no regrets, though his “favorite stunt is when Ryan Dunn put the toy car up his butt.” Read the exchange from Reddit below:

Knoxville choosing one of Dunn’s feats for his favorite stunt is a fitting tribute to the late Jackass star who was killed in a car accident in 2011 and won’t be appearing in the new film for the first time in the franchise. Jackass Forever is expected to pay further tribute to Dunn in some way. For Pontius’ most regrettable stunt, he is seemingly referring to the time he and Steve-O stuck their hands into a glove full of poisonous red ants while filming an episode of MTV’s Wildboyz in Brazil. The duo were stung numerous times by the ants and had to seek emergency medical care.

Needless to say, the Jackass crew has participated in countless regrettable stunts over the course of their long and painful careers. The fourth movie is no exception, as Knoxville and Steve-O were hospitalized on just the second day of filming. The wait for Jackass Forever is nearly over, as it releases in theaters tomorrow, February 4.
