Fans were more than excited to hear that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is making her return to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and now, she is revealing the real reason behind her long-awaited comeback. Although she does not regret her time away from filming for the show, Nicole is ready to be back with her roomies while also giving fans a good laugh.
During the season 3 finale, Nicole announced she was quitting the show following the drama at Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding surrounding the infamous bridesmaid speech. While she was in fact not a part of the following season, rumors began to spread surrounding a possible return to the show when she was spotted filming a lunch date with Angelina back in March. Some of Nicole’s fellow cast members began to add to the rumors, giving hints that she was actually going to return. As the cast continued to film the upcoming season, fans were left wondering if Nicole would be seen in the new episodes. It was not until the first teaser clip for the new season was released that the rumors were confirmed.
While Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was missing from the clip, fans were shocked to see Nicole appear. Now, Nicole is opening up about what changed her mind regarding filming for the show. According to Pop Culture, Nicole truly missed filming alongside her longtime roommates. Nicole explained, “coming back has shown me how much I love this show, and my besties.” While she did admit that she does not regret taking time away from filming the show, Nicole is happy to be back to filming. She really needed the “break” from filming after she, and the rest of the cast, dealt with so much drama and stress from the aftermath of Angelina’s wedding. Nicole said, “I truly needed a break for my soul and to just be a mom.“
Initially, Nicole decided to quit the show in an effort to spend more time with her three kids and husband. After she had her third baby, it became harder and harder for her to leave her kids for days at a time to go on trips to film for the show. Nicole no longer enjoyed spending two or three days in a row out partying. She would rather be at home with her babies, which is what lead her to her departure. During her time away from the show, Nicole focused on her three kids as well as her other business ventures such as her two boutique locations. Upon returning to filming, Nicole also flew out to Arizona to film a cameo for the new season of Double Shot at Love staring her roommates Vinny Guadagnino and Pauly D.
Although it has been confirmed that Nicole will in fact return for the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it is unknown if her return will be permanent or just temporary. With Ronnie stepping away from filming the show, it is more than likely that Nicole will continue on with filming in his place. After a long season without her, Nicole will make her return when the new season airs on Jerzday June 3 on MTV.
