Among the Jersey Shore roommates, Deena Cortese is perceived as being the most down-to-earth cast member. Despite her fame and wealth, she chooses to live a simple lifestyle. The way that she dresses and the home that she lives in show fans that she’s a grounded person. Even though her reality TV career has been a whirlwind, she hasn’t lost herself in the chaos.
Although Deena had her fair share of wild moments during the original series, she put her antics in the past when she began to settle down with now-husband Chris Buckner. Chris was seen during the later episodes of the original series and has since reappeared on the spinoff series. Fans love Chris on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Deena and Chris got married in 2017, just one year before the roomies reunited. Deena’s first pregnancy was featured on the show. She was expecting alongside her fellow “meatball” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who was pregnant with her third child at the time. Deena later announced her second pregnancy on the show.
Since the original series came to an end in 2009, Deena has been living a different lifestyle than her co-stars. She has never been about the glitz and glam that come with fame. Deena and her family live in a modern home in New Jersey. While it’s large in size, it is not over the top, like the homes of Mike “The Situation,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley, or Vinny Guadagnino. Vinny actually has two homes. On most occasions, Deena is seen wearing everyday outfits that aren’t too fancy. Now that she has welcomed her second son Cameron Theo into the world, she’s getting real in ways that fans can relate to. The day after giving birth, Deena shared photos from inside the hospital. In her hospital pics, there were no lash extensions, her hair was up, and she looked extremely natural. On top of that, Deena did not put on a fake smile for the camera. She let the world see how tired she was. Deena is the typical mom, as her @deenanicole Instagram shows. She is constantly sharing videos and photos from her day-to-day life with her sons. During the day, Deena will take her son to the park. Later in the day, she makes dinner for the family. Most of her posts show her in regular clothes and without makeup. She is often with her boys. In March, Deena got dolled up for a maternity shoot as she neared her due date.
Unlike the maternity shoot of Mike “The Situation” and his wife Lauren Sorrentino, which got mocked by fans, Deena went for a more common pregnancy photo aesthetic. She wore a long blue dress which accentuated her baby bump. She posed outdoors with her husband and her oldest son. She is quite happy to show fans who she is really is.
On Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Deena skips the high glam that some other roommates love. While the other women typically wear high heels and a lot of makeup, Deena sticks to whatever makes her feel most comfortable, which is generally a low-key and natural look. Although she is no longer the wild “meatball” she once was, Deena has found a way to balance her life. The Jersey Shore star has fun on wild trips with the other cast members but embraces being a regular mom on a day-to-day basis.
