Joe Millionaire: Amanda Pace Claims ‘Kurt Wasn’t Emotionally Available’

Unfortunately for Kurt Sowers, his romance with Amanda Pace didn’t last too long after filming for Joe Millionaire ended, and according to Amanda, it was because the construction CEO “wasn’t emotionally available.” Kurt seemed to be on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the season, trying to decipher his feelings for both Amanda and fellow contestant Carolyn Moore. Fans of the show were sure that when it came down to the two, Kurt would go with Carolyn, with whom he sparked a connection from the premiere episode. However, when the finale aired, fans were shocked to see that Kurt sent the skincare company owner home and gave his promise ring to Amanda instead.

While the two seemed happy as can be even after Kurt confessed that he was not the millionaire on the show, it was reported shortly after the episode aired that the couple was no longer together. While Steven and Calah have continued their romance and have even moved in together, Kurt and Amanda ended things just a few months after they completed filming for the show. According to Carolyn’s recent Instagram story, she already knew about the split as Kurt had found his way into her Instagram DMs. It seems as though Kurt and Amanda were not the perfect match they thought they were and that he might be regretting his decision.

Apparently, the pair is on two different pages and couldn’t make their long-distance relationship work. Amanda was a guest on the Reality Steve Podcast, where she spoke about where things went wrong with her and Kurt and whether or not there is a future for the two. According to the contestant, dating in the real world ended up being much different than on the show, and the long-distance made it even more difficult for the two. Being the driven businesswoman she is, Amanda knows exactly what she wants, and Kurt, as fans saw on the show, wasn’t as certain. “I’m very in tune with like who I want and what I want,” Amanda admitted. “I think I felt that Kurt wasn’t emotionally available.

The New York-based entrepreneur went on to explain that before coming onto the show, Kurt had been in a relationship where he had almost gotten engaged. He understandably still had a lot of pain from his past relationship, and Amanda believes he has a lot of healing to do. While the bachelor was typically the one calling contestants out for not being open with him and Steven, Amanda admits he was actually quite closed off once filming ended. The podcast host was quick to ask Amanda if there’s a chance the two may reconnect in the future. However, the Joe Millionaire star seems sure she and Kurt are a thing of the past and is way more focused on building her career. When asked if there was a chance of reconciliation, she quickly responded, “no, it’s just not for me.

While it would have been nice if things had worked out for Kurt and Amanda after Joe Millionaire, it’s good to see she hasn’t taken the breakup too hard. Amanda is very career-focused, and putting her energy into her business instead of a relationship that wasn’t working out is a much better use of her time. Fans are certainly wondering what will happen now, and while Amanda seems done for good with the bachelor, the door is still open for Kurt and Carolyn. However, Kurt is probably better off single for now as he works through healing from his past relationship.
