Marry Me Soundtrack: Every Song In The Movie

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Marry Me.

Marry Me soundtrack — here is every song in the romantic comedy. Directed by Kat Coiro, Marry Me has something every semi-decent romcom has: good music. Unlike most romcom soundtracks, however, Marry Me features several original songs by the film’s stars.

The film follows Katalina “Kat” Valdez (Jennifer Lopez), who is on the verge of marrying fellow singer and frequent musical collaborator Bastian (Maluma). But right before they exchange their vows, Kat discovers he’s been cheating on her. Heartbroken, she surprises everyone by choosing to instead marry Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson), a middle school math teacher.

Marry Me is full of music that becomes as much a part of the narrative as the love story at its center. Most of Marry Me’s soundtrack is made up of songs that are performed by Lopez and Maluma for the film, including the title track. Here is a guide to every song in the movie and during which scenes they are heard.

“Marry Me” by Jennifer Lopez & Maluma – “Marry Me” is the main song in the film and is sung by Kat and Bastian. It plays throughout the beginning of Marry Me to showcase how popular it is. It’s also announced as the song that will play when Kat and Bastian exchange their vows.

“Pa Ti (For You)” by Jennifer Lopez & Maluma – This song plays in the lead-up to the big wedding as Kat prepares and watches as various media outlets report on the fact that 20 million people will tune into the livestream. Viewers also see how different her life is to Charlie’s.

“Church” by Jennifer Lopez – This song is sung during Kat and Bastian’s wedding concert and sees Kat performing the song right before leaving the stage to change into her wedding dress. The lyrics of the song compare love to feeling like she’s in heaven.

“1 en 1 Millón” by Maluma – Bastian sings this during his and Kat’s wedding concert, coming on after she leaves the stage to prepare for their vows.

“Love of My Life” by Jennifer Lopez – Kat sings this during a montage following her and Charlie’s first conversation sans cameras, assistants, and social media. It’s the first time they’re genuinely alone and getting to know each other.

“Perfect Combination” by Hael – This song plays while Kat and Charlie are on their first “date” at a bowling alley. He attempts to teach her how to bowl, but she already knows how.

“Just Got Paid” by Ella Eyre & Meghan Trainor ft. French Montana – This song plays when Kat visits Charlie’s middle school math club and meets his daughter for the first time. She ends up teaching the kids choreography to a song and bonds with them. Meanwhile, Charlie is quizzing them on math problems.

“Swing” by PMGRNT – The song plays briefly during the school dance and right before Kat takes to the stage to sing her new song.

“After Love (Part 1)” by Jennifer Lopez – “After Love” is the song Kat Valdez sings at Lou’s middle school dance, assisted by the glee club teacher on guitar. “After Love (Part 2)” is only available on the album sold at Target.

“If I Ever Were to Leave You” by Robert Goulet – Charlie puts this song on after the dance as it’s one of his favorite songs. The song also becomes the first Charlie and Kat dance to, bringing them closer together.

“Marry Me – Ballad” by Jennifer Lopez & Maluma – The ballad version of “Marry Me” is sung as a duet between Kat and Bastian following the news that she was nominated for a Grammy. She joins his Madison Square Garden concert to promote the new version of the song.

“Segundo” by Maluma – At the after-party following their big pre-Grammy concert, Bastian sings “Segundo,” a song about second chances, seemingly implying that he and Kat will get one.

“On My Way” by Jennifer Lopez – “On My Way” is the song Kat couldn’t finish — that is, until Charlie broke up with her and she found the inspiration to do so. She completes the song and it plays over a montage detailing how both she and Charlie are trying to move on.

“Nobody’s Watching” by Jennifer Lopez – “Nobody’s Watching” is the final song in Marry Me and plays over the credits as various couples tell the audience about their meet-cutes, including Kat and Charlie.
