Millie Bobby Brown Pranked Noah Schnapp On Stranger Things Season 4 Set

Millie Bobby Brown hilariously pranked her co-star, Noah Schnapp, while filming Stranger Things season 4. Stranger Things is a Netflix original series that first premiered in 2016, and quickly became one of the platform’s most popular shows. The series is a homage to ’80s science fiction and horror and follows the supernatural occurrences and government experiments that rattle the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. Viewers have been anxiously awaiting the show’s fourth season, which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After over two years with no new episodes, the anticipation for Stranger Things season 4 is strong. Recently, Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard further heightened expectations by stating that season 4 is “messed up.” Wolfhard’s statement adds to the suspicion that season 4 might lean more heavily towards the horror genre. This is further backed up by the Stranger Things season 4 trailer, which revealed that the Creel house, the scene of a grisly murder, will feature into the season. Even if season 4 proves a bit darker than prior seasons, it seems the cast at least found ways to lighten the mood on set.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In an interview with People, Stranger Things’ star Schnapp revealed that his co-star Brown pulled an epic prank on him while filming season 4. Schnapp, who portrays Will Byers in the series, was beckoned by Brown, who portrays Eleven, to say goodbye on the last day of filming. Unbeknownst to Schnapp, the entire crew was in on the prank that Brown planned. When Schnapp arrived at the meeting spot, he didn’t receive a goodbye from Brown and instead received a dousing with water balloons, hurled by Brown and 30 other crew members. This led to Schnapp spending the last day of filming soaking wet. Check out his statement below:

“On our last day of filming season 4, Millie, she got the whole crew together and she bought like, 2000 water balloons. She called me back to our base camp to give her a hug goodbye. I got there and I was like, ‘Where is she at? Let me go say goodbye. Her and 30 other crew members came out behind the trailers with each, like, 100 water balloons, just chucking them at me! The whole night, I was soaked. Dripping. The costumes [team staffers] were mad. They had to blow dry my whole costume.”

Brown’s prank was hilarious and masterfully pulled off, as she managed to involve 30 crew members while keeping Schnapp in the dark. Hopefully, the two got a proper goodbye once Schnapp dried off a bit! The prank antics on set illustrate that the cast and crew managed to overcome the stresses of pandemic delays and prolonged filming of Stranger Things season 4. One of Stranger Things’ most endearing aspects is its underlying message of the importance of friendship, loyalty, and honesty. The bond on set between actresses and actors who play pranks on one another adds a certain genuineness to the intense friendships that viewers see on the show.

Overall, the story of Schnapp being pranked by Brown is a hilarious, but it’s also a heartwarming story to hear. Schnapp and Brown truly grew up together on the set of Stranger Things, and it is refreshing to see the two develop a close and lighthearted friendship over the years and to find enjoyment on the daily set. Meanwhile, it also raises curiosity for whether Schnapp will attempt to get back at Brown and if a true prank war will ensue. Schnapp and Brown have great personalities and a special bond and viewers would love to hear of more of their antics in the future. Regardless of if the pranks continue, Schnapp and Brown illustrate the kind of bond and support that is necessary to bring lightness to a difficult industry. As Stranger Things season 4 approaches, these special behind-the-scenes stories will remind viewers of the personalities and lives of the actors and actresses behind their favorite characters.
