Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Best Things to Do After Beating the Game

There’s still tons to do after beating Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Since this is a new Pokémon game with an entirely new formula for the series, many trainers might want to expand their time in this world as much as possible. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, trainers are thrown into the Hisui region through a wormhole in the sky. After waking up and finding the Arceus Phone, the player will be tasked with finding all the Pokémon. Shortly after joining the Galaxy Team and selecting one of three starter Pokémon, the world begins to open up and the real game begins.

Clearing out the main quest in Pokémon Legends: Arceus should only take players about 18 to 20 hours to complete. Although, it’s important to mention that there are optional quests all around Jubilife Village. These additional challenges will give more insight into the world and its residents. Clearing them out will also reward trainers with new items. Although, players should wait until the postgame to participate in these.

Once the main story is over in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Hisui region begins to open up even more with tons to discover. This includes finding legendary Pokémon, completing remaining research, and uncovering the truth behind this region. There’s even additional content for players who own other Nintendo Switch Pokémon titles. It could take hundreds of hours to clear out everything Pokémon Legends: Arceus has to offer.

Best Things To Do After Beating Pokémon Legends: Arceus

  • Get Other Starters: Speak with Captain Cyllene in the Galaxy Hall after clearing the main game. Afterward, speak with Professor Laventon and he will give the player the other two starter Pokémon from the beginning of the game.
  • Explore New Missions: New challenges will populate Jubilife Village once the game is over. Load the game back up and complete these quests.
  • New Research Requests: Once the game is over, new research requests will be made available. More powerful Pokémon will also appear in the wild.
  • Find Darkrai: Darkrai is available as a Pokemon BDSP save bonus. This is only available for players who have a Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl save file on their Nintendo Switch. Go to the Galactic Hall and interact with the blackboard to find the Darksome Nightmare request.
  • Find Shaymin: This is only available for players who have Pokémon Sword and Shield save files on their Nintendo Switch. Go to the Galactic Hall on the same blackboard.
  • Find All The Other Legendary Pokémon: Uxie, Mespirit, Azelf, Heatran, Cresselia, Landorus, Thundurus, Tornadus, Enamorus, Giratina, and Arceus are all available during the post-game. Each one is attached to an in-game mission that opens up during the post-game.

Attempting to clear out every research task within the Pokédex is the best time expander in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Since each Pokémon needs to be captured or defeated dozens of different ways, it’ll be a while before each page fills up. It’s currently unknown how Pokémon Home support will work for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It might possible to bring over Pokémon from older games into the Hisui region, clearing out some of these challenges in the process. Until then, there’s still a lot of work to do for the Galaxy Team.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
