Fans of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise are always looking for new drama to talk about, and, thankfully, each city and each season does deliver. While many cast members have been best friends for years and they do genuinely like spending time together, that doesn’t mean that it’s all rainbows and butterflies. The cast often gets into major arguments, and sometimes those fights make up the bulk of a single season’s drama.
From Vicki Gunvalson’s friends wondering about her boyfriend Brooks to a juicy rumor that Teresa Giudice brought up, there are many Real Housewives fights that didn’t go away after the first time that harsh words were exchanged.
10 RHOC: Vicki Gunvalson Vs. The Entire Cast (Season 10)
Season 10 of The Real Housewives Of Orange County featured an argument between Vicki Gunvalson and her co-stars that just kept going. Vicki said that her boyfriend Brooks had cancer, and once Meghan said she didn’t think that it was true, everyone agreed with Meghan.
This became one of the most memorable RHOC storylines as Vicki was on the defensive and the cast talked to a psychic who said the cancer was a lie. It seemed clear that Brooks wasn’t sick, and no one was that surprised when he finally admitted that he indeed wasn’t. To this day, viewers wonder why anyone would lie about such a thing.
9 RHONJ: Teresa Giudice Vs. Jackie Goldschneider (Season 11)
When season 11 of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey opened, Teresa Giudice spread a rumor that Jackie Goldschneider’s husband Evan wasn’t faithful. Jackie and Evan were beside themselves with hurt and confusion, and their co-stars were confused about this rumor too.
Much of the season focused on this argument and whether or not Teresa would apologize. Then there was the question of whether Teresa would tell Evan himself that she was sorry. Teresa finally expressed regret for what she said, but the negative vibes affected the rest of the season.
8 RHOBH: Erika Girardi Vs. Dorit Kemsley (Season 7)
The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills fans remember the season 7 argument that is called “Pantygate.” This lasted for several episodes after beginning with “Going Commando.” In that episode, Dorit’s husband P.K. could see up Erika’s dress, which was a problem since Erika didn’t have underwear on. In the next episode, called “Pantygate,” Dorit said that maybe Erika did this on purpose, and by the time the cast went to Hong Kong on vacation, it was still a situation that the cast was dealing with.
Fans were riveted by this argument, and while it seemed that Erika didn’t mean for P.K. to see anything, as she has a unique way of dressing and does her own thing all the time, it also made sense that Dorit was upset.
7 RHONY: Bethenny Frankel Vs. Carole Radziwill (Season 10)
The Real Housewives Of New York is known for many fights that don’t go away after one or two episodes. Season 10 of RHONY saw Bethenny Frankel fighting, and Bethenny and Carole Radziwill’s friendship was in a bad place.
Bethenny didn’t like that Carole was friends with Tinsley Mortimer, and Bethenny and Carole hadn’t hung out that summer, which seemed to upset both of them. Once Carole made it clear that she thought a friendship had to be on Bethenny’s terms, the two couldn’t make up.
6 RHOA: Kandi Burruss Vs. Phaedra Parks (Season 8)
Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks fought so much in season 8 of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta that they even argued in season 9 too. While Phaedra’s marriage to Apollo was over, she didn’t think that Kandi was taking her side, as Kandi allowed Apollo’s motorcycles in her garage, which seemed like a strange thing for a friend to do. In season 9, Kandi said that Phaedra was unfaithful.
Of all the arguments on RHOA, this one stands out to fans. It was particularly tough since both cast members had such strong feelings. It seemed like it would take a lot for Kandi and Phaedra to see things from each other’s POV.
5 RHOP: Gizelle Bryant Vs. The Entire Cast (Season 1)
Season 1 of The Real Housewives Of Potomac featured a big fight that lasted for many episodes. In the pilot, everyone gathered for Karen Huger’s birthday, and the cast didn’t think that Gizelle Bryant was behaving well. Charisse Jackson-Jordan said she wasn’t being “ladylike.”
The argument was originally about where to sit at the party, and this is known as one of Gizelle’s big RHOP fights. As the season went on, it didn’t seem like Gizelle and the others could get along all that well, but, in the season 1 finale, Gizelle held a lunch so everyone could start being nicer to each other.
4 RHOBH: Kyle Richards Vs. Lisa Vanderpump (Season 9)
Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump’s lives changed forever in season 9 when Dorit adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs but couldn’t keep it because the dog bit Dorit’s children. When the cast wondered if LVP talked to the media so she could make Dorit look bad, Kyle was right there with them.
This led to a season-long fight between longtime friends Lisa and Kyle. Lisa was devastated that Kyle would say that about her, while Kyle was just being honest about how she felt. Lisa and her husband Ken threw Kyle out of their house, and fans were shocked to see the sad way this played out and ruined the friendship.
3 RHONY: Jill Zarin Vs. Bethenny Frankel (Season 3)
While fans often thought that Bethenny was right on RHONY, her honest nature meant that she had some major fights. In season 3, Bethenny and Jill Zarin’s friendship ended, as they couldn’t agree on how to move forward. The main issue seemed to be Jill’s belief that Bethenny had grown so famous and busy that she couldn’t be Jill’s friend anymore. Bethenny felt that Jill wasn’t being fair about how well she was doing.
The fight between these co-stars lasted for season 3, and since Jill left once season 4 had come to a close, it didn’t seem like they would make up. While fans saw these two talking sweetly at Jill’s husband Bobby’s funeral, they weren’t best friends anymore.
2 RHOC: Tamra Judge Vs. Shannon Beador (Season 13)
Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador had a lot of tension in season 13 of RHOC, which was tough to watch as Shannon, Tamra, and Vicki Gunvalson were the “Tres Amigos.” Things got really bad when Gina Kirschenheiter told Shannon that Shannon wasn’t supportive of Tamra’s struggles, as Tamra’s husband Eddie had heart problems.
The co-stars couldn’t see eye to eye for much of this season, and questions are still out there about their friendship, as it seemed like there was a lot of pain.
1 RHOBH: Denise Richards Vs. The Entire Cast (Season 10)
Season 10 of RHOBH saw Brandi Glanville telling everyone that she and Denise Richards were together. Denise said that wasn’t true, but Brandi said that it was. Over the course of several episodes, Denise fought with her co-stars as she wanted them to lend her support and take her side no matter what.
It was tough to watch Denise get mad at the rest of the cast, as they were just trying to figure out the story, and it was even harder to know the truth.
