Resident Evil 3 has a sidequest that requires the player to locate three different gems to unlock the Railway Clock. This guide will help players finds all of the Railway Gems in Resident Evil 3. Resident Evil has always been a series layered in the exploration of one’s environments. In Resident Evil 5, outside of just killing zombies and solving puzzles, players could find rare gems like rubies and sapphires in which were required for a completionist run of the game. The same follows suit with the remake of Resident Evil 3. In this guide, the location of every gem for the Railway Clock will be revealed.
The Railway Clock can be found fairly early into the game. It’s inside of the subway station and contains helpful items that will push the player and Jill to their goals. Inside the Railway Clock will be shotgun ammo, and more importantly, a hip pouch. The hip pouch is an item that allows the player to expand their inventory in the game. In a game with limited resources, having as much space as possible is important for survival. There are three gems the player can find to unlock the Railway Clock and secure these items. This guide will layout the location of every gem.
All Railway Clock Gem Locations in Resident Evil 3
- Red Gem Location: This gem can be found inside the safe room at the Downtown Donut Shop. It’s directly inside a purple box. Examine it to find the Red Gem.
- Blue Gem Location: This gem can be found inside the supermarket in Downtown. The player will need the bolt cutters to open the door. The gem is located once again inside of the purple box, located right near the entrance to the supermarket.
- Green Gem Location: This gem is located inside of the toy shop in Downtown. It’s actually right across the street from the supermarket holding the Blue Gem. Although, the player will need to lock pick to open the door to get inside. Once finding the lockpick, return here and the Green Gem will be on the countertop.
Once the player has all three gems, return back to the subway station and unlock the Railway Clock for those special items. There are dozens of secrets within this 6-hour adventure. Players will most likely go through the game fairly quickly to unlock the harder difficulties, Nightmare, and Inferno. These difficulties can only be unlocked by completing the game on Hardcore for Nightmare, and Nightmare for Inferno. This is where the true challenge lies within the game. Although, finding every hidden item within the chaos that is Racoon City will serve as another excellent challenge for all the completionist out there.
