When fighting through a world full of enemies, an item like Luiza’s key can easily be forgotten during a playthrough of Resident Evil 8. That being said, players may have the key in their inventory without even noticing. The key grants access to one of the many treasures available in Resident Evil 8 that can be sold to the Shopkeeper for Lei.
Players will only be able to use the hidden key after they have escaped Castle Dimitrescu and slain the great lady of the house. With that done, players will be able to find Luiza’s Key and Luiza’s Treasure with a little searching. They will want to start by heading straight to Luiza’s house in the village. Here’s how to get Luiza’s Key and access the Treasure in Resident Evil 8.
Where to Find Luiza’s Key and What it Unlocks in Resident Evil 8
To find Luiza’s Key, players should return to Luiza’s house after escaping Castle Dimitrescu in Resident Evil 8. They should scan the perimeter of her home after taking care of any lingering wraiths, lycans, or bats. On one side should be a small rose-embossed box atop a stack of logs. Within this small chest is Luiza’s Necklace. This is the item that players will need to get Luiza’s Key.
In inventory, players will be able to examine the necklace like many other artifacts they pick up from around the world. Examining the necklace allows players to remove the light blue jewel. After removing the gem, they should examine the necklace again. It should be labeled as Necklace with Key. Examining it will allow players to pluck the key out of the hole that the gem in the necklace left. This is Luiza’s Key.
After retrieving this Key, it may be a while until players can use it. The prerequisite to gain access to this area is another four-winged key, a combination of a key and several sets of wings that are found throughout the world. Once players have collected all the necessary wings and connected them to the key, they will be able to open the four-winged gate near the center of the map. It is one of the four gates facing the altar.
Coming from the altar and heading through the four-winged gate, players should make an immediate left to see a doorway in the cliffside. Through this door is a small room with a decorated table and a red chest on top. Using Luiza’s key, players will be able to open the chest. Inside is Cesare’s Goblet. Cesare’s Goblet is one of the rarer treasure items that can be sold to Duke for 190,000 Lei.
