When Sutton Stracke joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10, fellow castmate Erika Jayne welcomed her with open arms, but their friendship took a hit in season 11 and it looks as if their drama is spilling over to the new season. Sutton and Erika bonded over being southern belles and what it was like to be raised in the south. Sutton’s gentle mannerisms seemed to compliment Erika’s feisty personality, which resulted in both of them developing a real friendship.
Erika and Sutton bonded even more on RHOBH season 11 when Erika was in the beginning stages of her divorce and legal troubles. In an attempt to pick her friend up, Sutton treated Erika to a day at the spa. She picked Erika up in a Bentley filled with snacks and champagne. At the spa, Erika opened up to Sutton about problems within her marriage, confessing how hurt she was that her husband Tom Girardi never attempted to see her while she was starring in the hit Broadway show Chicago.
Alas, things took a turn after the spa day when more details about Tom’s case came out. Sutton got worried about being associated with the scandal and shared that she wanted to distance herself from Erika. She also questioned the validity of Erika’s story about Tom’s car accident a few years ago, which allegedly caused his dementia. Erika kept changing details about the incident, and it all felt very confusing to the other housewives. During one of RHOBH’s most intense dinners, Sutton and Erika got into a heated argument when Sutton hinted that Erika’s stories didn’t line up. Erika turned to Sutton and threatened to “come for her” if she ever called Erika a liar again.
