Selling Sunset 2: What We Know About Mary’s Son, Who’s Not Much Younger Than Romain

Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald finally got married on season 2, which was just released to Netflix this past Friday, and fans now know who her husband is, Romain Bonnet. However, fans want to know more about her son Austin Babbitt. Especially since her son Austin and her husband Romain are so close in age.

The reality series Selling Sunset is based around the real estate agents of The Oppenheim Group gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of the people who run one of the best-known agencies selling in the Hollywood Hills and Sunset Strip. Mary is one of the top real estate agents based in Los Angeles. The 39-year-old has appeared on the show since season 1 and even had her wedding featured in season 2. We know that Mary’s a mom to her two furbabies Zelda and Niko, but let’s take a look at her actual son, Austin.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

During season 1 of Selling Sunset, Mary made mention of the fact that she has a grown-up son. Quite awkwardly, the subject matter of age was brought up at Mary her anniversary dinner with her then-boyfriend, Romain Bonnet. Mary said, “So, babe, you’re 25, you’re not really that much older than my son.” She then went on to explain how she had a son, Austin, at the age of 16 and raised him as a single mother. The age difference between Austin and Romain was a hot topic when season 1 aired. Mary’s husband, Romain, is now 26-years-old making him just 4 years older than Mary’s son who is 22-years-old. But, as much as people like to make a drama of the situation, it doesn’t look as though the age gap has become a problem for Romain, Mary or Austin.

Selling Sunset series 1 introduced viewers to the fact that Mary had a son, however, Austin didn’t appear in the show until the final episode of series 2 at his mother and Romain’s wedding. Austin can be seen walking his mom down the aisle in episode 8. Not much is known about Austin, as his Instagram account (@austinbabbitt), is set to private. Details of who his father is aren’t readily available, however, Mary did mention on Selling Sunset that her first husband passed away – so, could this have been Austin’s father? However, Mary also remarked at her bachelorette party in episode 7 that she got pregnant the first time she had sex, so perhaps she wasn’t married to Austin’s dad.

As far as Austin’s education, career, and love life, very little is known about the son of Selling Sunset’s OG, but with a third season of the show on the way, who knows? More could be revealed about Austin later.

Selling Sunset season 2 is now available to stream on Netflix.
