Sims 4 Blooming Rooms Kit Will Let You Become an Indoor Plant Parent

The next expansion for The Sims 4, Blooming Rooms Kit, has officially been revealed by EA. The latest Kit for the game is set to help Simmers turn their builds into glorious greenhouses packed with indoor plants, with carefully curated new items to aid in decor. Becoming a plant parent is the aim of the pack, which is one of a number of Sims 4 expansions released this year alone.

The Sims 4 is a constantly-evolving game, expanding and changing with both paid DLC and free game updates. Players have a number of different options when it comes to picking up new paid game content, with larger Expansions, middle-sized Game Packs, smaller Stuff Packs, and bite-sized Kits available to enhance the base Sims game. Kits were first introduced to the expansion roster earlier this year, and offer a smaller, more tailored DLC with a specific theme. Kits are generally separated into Create-a-Sim items, Build/Buy items, or may introduce a new gameplay element, something seen with The Sims 4 Bust the Dust vacuuming Kit.

The Sims 4 Blooming Rooms Kit will add a plethora of new indoor plants to the game, which could be set to improve Sims’ moods as they bathe in a “soothing atmosphere of growth all around with unexpected leafy details and natural beauty.” Those who purchase the pack will be able to utilize a host of new indoor plants in their Sims homes, including both potted and hanging variants to add some greenery to any indoor build. The Sims 4 Blooming Rooms Kit will be available from November 9 for PC and consoles, and will launch alongside a free base game update that will add the new Scenarios feature.

A full breakdown of the new Sims 4 Kit has yet to be revealed, but images from the press release tease just what plant lovers can expect from the pack. A new side table appears to have a plant pot base, while what looks like small potted fruit trees, plant racks, and decorative vines also seem to be included with the Kit. The images also reveal a variety of differently-sized potted plants suitable for floor and table placement, giving decorators the chance to play with different heights within their builds. Based on previous Kits, players can likely expect to see anywhere from 15 – 30 new items as part of The Sims 4 Blooming Rooms Kit.

The Sims 4 Kits are perhaps one of the most controversial recent additions to the game. The cost of the entire Sims 4 expansion line is adding up quickly with regular new additions announced, and owning the full catalog is an expensive venture. Kits may be the cheapest of the paid DLC options, but many fans believe they don’t contain enough content to be worth the price tag. Players will have to wait to find out more about the full list of new items contained in the Blooming Rooms Kit, which could be worth the price for Sims fans with a penchant for plants.
