The Bachelor: MJ Or Jessenia? Who Gets Sent Home Next Week (Spoilers!)

As much as The Bachelor’s MJ Snyder may believe in “preaching harmony,” her being on a 2-on-1 date with Jessenia Cruz and Matt James is likely to end in dissonance. In a show that’s already fueled by toxicity, bullying, accusations, and tears, MJ becoming the apparent “antagonist” of the season 25 house came as a surprise to many. But given that MJ has notoriously created the terms “JV” and “Varsity” to refer to the new women, will she still see another day on The Bachelor with Matt? Or will it be Jessenia who gets the infamous 2-on-1 date rose?

If The Bachelorette season 16 with Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams was the most dramatic of them all, Matt’s The Bachelor takes the cake for being nothing but a hot mess. Surely catfights were expected in a house filled with 32 girls, but the utter chaos caused by the callous namecalling from the likes of Queen Victoria Larson to Anna Redman has given the 2021 season a bad rep. However, as soon as The Bachelor contestants heaved a sigh of relief upon Victoria and Anna’s exit, Matt got his hands full with the MJ and Jessenia catfight. As MJ, who claimed to preach harmony and joy, got called an antagonist by Matt, she confronted Jessenia, who was the snitch. It was MJ referring to the senior Bachelor ladies as the “varsity squad” and the five newbies as “junior varsity” that was the root of the problem, eventually making her tell Jessenia that she “picked on the wrong girl.” However, as an epic showdown in the style of Bennett Jordan and Noah Erb ensued between The Bachelor girls, fans wondered who Matt would show the door of the limo to next.

You put my character in question with Matt,” MJ said to The Bachelor’s Jessenia, as she reminded Bachelor Nation of her mantra, “big hoops, big hair, and big energy.” However, for those expecting spoilers on whether MJ and Jessenia will be eliminated in the 2-on-1 date with Matt, the answer, although not confirmed, seems obvious. However, as explained by The Bachelor spoiler expert RealitySteve, “It’s impossible to know how exactly he’s going to make his decision.” Since Matt is never shown the footage of what interactions the women have amongst themselves, eventually The Bachelor will have to make a call based on his judgment. Reality Steve suggests he won’t be surprised “if MJ stays based on that,” which would be a “horrible look” considering how badly she gaslighted Jessenia by claiming she never uttered the varsity comment.

On the contrary, The Bachelor blogger CarterMatt says, “MJ is probably going to be eliminated sooner rather than later,” and yet Jessenia’s chances of going forward are bleak, too. Spoilers say she never made it to The Bachelor top four. Additionally, the chances of her ending up like Noah Erb, who was sent home right before the hometowns, are high. Still, The Bachelor fans on Twitter seem to be confident of MJ’s elimination this week, as she apparently doesn’t show up in the preview videos, but Jessenia does, as per Twitter user @lookalivespidey.

Speaking of which, the preview for episode six of The Bachelor season 25 sure seems to be jam-packed with controversy, with Heather Martin finally arriving in her minivan and Matt taking relationship advice from best-friend and ex ABC star Tyler Cameron. Does the MJ vs Jessenia drama look small in comparison to these huge The Bachelor happenings? Who knows, season 25 might even get a new antagonist in the new week.

The Bachelor season 25 airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
