The Bachelor: What Happened To Juan Pablo & Is He In a Relationship?

Fans are gearing up for the new episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons—Ever, which will recap Juan Pablo’s season. People can’t help but wonder what happened to such an iconic Bachelor figure after he left our TV screens.

The world first saw Juan Pablo Galavis on Desiree Hartsock’s season in 2013, but he didn’t make it very far. Still, in 2014, Juan Pablo became the first Latino Bachelor and had a number of women competing for his heart. Juan Pablo was an overall mean, cranky, and disrespectful man to the women on his season. In fact, contestant-turned-Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman told Juan Pablo after the fantasy suite dates that she wasn’t feeling it anymore. and he responded with very passive-aggressive, “It’s ok.” This, of course, angered Andi, and she quickly told him off, a memorable moment in Bachelor Nation history. Speaking of iconic moments, Clare Crawley, the new Bachelorette, also had an amazing moment onscreen telling Juan Pablo that she wouldn’t want her children having a father like him.

But what happened to Juan Pablo after the season ended? According to Refinery29, his Instagram profile shows he is an ex-professional soccer player as well as a sports and music consultant. His LinkedIn profile says he has been employed by a company named RedWine Management since 2016 as a sports and entertainment consultant. Juan Pablo did eventually get married, though he didn’t choose anyone from Bachelor Nation. In 2017, he married Venezuelan model and TV host Osmariel Villalobos after dating for a year, People reported at the time. The pair first met in 2016 when a mutual friend showed Osmariel’s picture to Juan Pablo. “I asked, ‘who’s that girl? She’s cute,’” Galavis told the magazine. “He told me, ‘If you meet her in real life, you’ll die. She’s great!’” Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for the pair. After two years of marriage, Juan Pablo and Osmariel quietly separated (via Us Weekly). Osmariel confirmed their split on Instagram in March 2020. Since the divorce, Juan Pablo hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone new.

Even though Juan Pablo moved on from his Bachelor fame, he took to Twitter when Clare Crawley was announced as the Bachelorette to make a comment about the men on her season. He wrote, I just SAW the GUYS for @Clare_Crawley Bachelorette season and its gonna be INTERESTING seeing HER get hit on by KIDS on their 20s… I think this MIGHT be the 3rd SEASON Im gonna watch.” Clare quickly clapped back and had the best response: “And yet here you are, older than 99% of them and still cant practice compassion and kindness…” This immature interaction Juan Pablo started is not a surprise.

Although Juan Pablo has been out of the spotlight for many years, his time on The Bachelor and TheBachelorette is ingrained into the minds of the fans of the franchise. While we don’t know too much about his personal life, who knows what he might reveal on tonight’s episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Season- Ever.
