Considering that production on RHOP season 7 wrapped months ago, loyal followers of the series were wondering what was taking so long for the show to air, especially since it did not start production until well after the RHOP season 6 reunion. There were concerns over whether the show was being canceled or going on a hiatus and, after the reunion, fans were not happy. With production ending on a new season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, including Dillard-Basset and Bryant in the cast, viewers began wondering what the status was.

Amid all the rumors and speculation, the women are finally setting the record straight. The trailer seems to be teasing some pretty heavy moments among the housewives. Within the three-minute preview, some highly dramatic things seem to be in store for RHOP season 7 among the women. Most of the drama seems to center around Gizelle, with heavier moments being teased with Candiace and Mia as well. Candiace is seen as saying, “Gizelle is dead to me,” when she learns that Gizelle has accused her husband Chris Bassett of being sneaky.

Additionally, Mia is seen confronting Gizelle, who has been speculating that Mia’s trip to a cancer facility was all for attention rather than for something more serious. Some familiar faces make a return as well to stir the pot, even more so when former housewife Charisse Jackson-Jordan rejoins the RHOP cast in a “friend-of” role, much to Karen’s dismay. Peter Thomas, who was previously featured on The Real Housewives of Atlanta as he was married to Cynthia Bailey, is also seen in the trailer as the women ask Gizelle if she is sleeping with him. Among the nicer moments includes seeing Candiace and Ashley finally getting along as they bond over a glass of wine at Candiace’s house and even share a laugh.

This upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Potomac is sure to be one of the best yet as the women seem to be in different, but better places in their lives. Robyn is getting her re-marriage to Juan Dixon in order while Ashley is getting out of a toxic situation by finalizing her divorce from her husband Michael Darby. It has been quite the wait to see the wives back on TV for season 7, but it looks as if it will all be worthwhile.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 7 premieres on October 9 at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
