Warframe: How to Find (& Catch) Rare Servofish

While there are plenty of action-packed assignments and missions in Warframe, some weekly challenges can offer a more relaxing experience for the Tenno, such as the Act requiring players to catch six Rare Servofish in Orb Vallis. The Orb Vallis region is a static open-world map on Venus where the temperature is constantly changing. Within its freezing ponds and cave pools, living aquatic machine species known as Servofish in Warframe infest in the depths of the flowing coolant.

Among the Servofish types, three are considered to be “rare.” These include Tromyzon, which prefer freezing ponds, and the Charamote and Synathid, two types that thrive in cave pools during warm weather. To complete the weekly challenge, Charamote are the best Servofish that players should try to catch. However, before traveling to Orb Vallis, Warframe fans need to make sure they have a fishing spear. The Shockspear is available in Fortuna from The Business vendor for a decent amount of Standing.

While players are shopping, they can also consider purchasing Charamote Bait, a special lure that increases the chance and rate at which Charamote are lured into the area. While the bait isn’t mandatory for fishing for the Rare Servofish, it essentially speeds up the process in Warframe and makes the venture more convenient to complete. Additionally, it would be beneficial to buy Luminous Dye before embarking on a fishing expedition. The fishing dye will make spotting the fish swimming in the coolant much easier, as it will temporarily highlight any fish within a particular area for a short period.

Rare Servofish Fishing Guide in Warframe

Rare Servofish like Charamote spawn in locations called hotspots about the Orb Vallis map. There are several cave hotspots about the map, but one that players should check out is the cavern near the center of the region. More specifically, it is located north of the Coolant Reservoir and slightly to the southeast of the Grow Site. Players can either run to the cave on foot or traverse there more quickly using K-Drive.

After arriving, head deeper into the grotto until reaching the subterranean pool location where the rare Warframe creatures inhabit. As mentioned above, players will need to wait for a short while until the weather becomes “Warm” within the world. Once the temperature changes, the Charamote will begin to spawn with the other Servofish. First, use the Luminous Dye to highlight the fish. Then use the bait to lure out any Charamote. Those who don’t have the bait should instead begin to fish out any Mirewinders or Scrubbers that appear to make room for a Charamote spawn. After some brief fishing, Warframe players should collect the required Rare Servofish in no time.

Warframe is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
