Warzone: How to Unlock Ghostface (Scream Skin)

Editor’s Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. Activision Blizzard has denied the allegations. The full details of the Activision Blizzard lawsuit (content warning: rape, suicide, abuse, harassment) are being updated as new information becomes available.

This year’s Halloween event in Warzone has given players the chance to unlock the iconic Ghostface Scream mask. With October being the spooky season, many live-service games are cashing in on the holiday festivities. The Ghostface mask itself originates from the Scream franchise, a series of films where a group of high school students becomes victims to a mysterious killer wearing the same mask. In Warzone, the cosmetic itself doesn’t do anything to change the gameplay. It will only alter the player’s appearance. Obtaining it will require the player to make a tough decision.

The Haunting event features a new Call of Duty: Warzone “Ghosts of Verdansk” limited-time mode where players will need to return back to Verdansk during nightfall. This event also comes with a set of new challenges for players to unlock the new prototypical LAPA SMG. Alternatively, players can also pick up the Frank the Rabbit Operator Skin during this frightening event. Black Ops Cold War does feature its own set of Halloween content but if players unlock Ghostface in one game, it will automatically carry over to the other.

To unlock the Ghostface Scream mask, players will need to spend their hard-earned COD Points. The Ghostface Scream mask is a part of a limited-time Scream Operator Bundle. Players will need to purchase the entire bundle to get access to the mask. It also comes along with many other cosmetic items and charms.

The Ghostface Bundle in Warzone

The Ghostface Scream bundle will sell for 2,400 COD Points. There are a few different ways for players to earn more COD Points. For those who are subscribed to the Battle Pass, players can earn more COD Points by leveling up fast in Call of Duty: Warzone. These are all the items that are included in this bundle.

  • Ghostface Skin.
  • Plot Twitch Assault Rifle.
  • Slasher Submachine Gun.
  • Ghost Blade Melee.
  • Cordless Phone Charm.
  • Scary Hours Watch.
  • Violent End Black Ops Cold War Operator animation.
  • Scream Emblem.
  • Stabbing Motion Calling Card
  • Double XP Token Consumable.

For players who don’t have the Battle Pass, purchasing it is the fastest way to quickly obtain the skin. Since this Operator Bundle is only available for a limited time, players should consider if they want to spend their COD Points on it now or wait until something new comes down the line. The Ghostface Bundle is another movie-tie-in event. In the past, a Warzone update added Die Hard and Rambo. More film-related skins may be added in the future. This skin will likely be removed once the Halloween season comes to an end.

Warzone is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
