Where to Find Wormadam in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Wormadam can be a difficult Pokémon to find in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, but trainers need to know where it is to complete the Pokédex. Wormadam is one of the many Pokémon that was first introduced in the original Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, and finding one to complete the Sinnoh Pokédex was just as of a challenge then as it is now. Unfortunately, players are unable to obtain the National Dex if they fail to see a Wormadam and register it to the Sinnoh Dex.

Wormadam has the potential to be a Bug and Grass-type Pokémon, which happens to be one of the worst type combinations possible. Grass and Bug-type Pokémon share many weaknesses and strengths, but more often than not the shared weaknesses put Wormadam at a disadvantage. Furthermore, Wormadam’s low overall stats make it a challenging Pokémon to use in battle. Its other type combinations, Bug and Steel or Bug and Ground, are far more useful but are still overshadowed by Wormadam’s lackluster stats.

One feature that does make Wormadam one of the more interesting Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is its potential to be one of the three aforementioned type combinations. This process begins with its pre-evolved form, Burmy, which can be found in any Honey Tree across the Sinnoh region. Players will have to slather the Honey item on a tree and wait six hours before they return and find a Pokémon on the tree. In order to get a Wormadam, players will need to catch a female Burmy in Pokémon BDSP. After catching a female Burmy, players will need to raise it to level 20 to receive Wormadam.

Where To Find Wormadam In Pokémon BDSP (More Easily)

Alternatively, players do not have to go through the painstaking process of finding a female Burmy in order to register Wormadam in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Instead, players can find a trainer on Route 214 between Veilstone City and the Valor Lakefront resort who has a Wormadam. Her Wormadam is a Bug and Grass-type, but registering any of the three types of Wormadams will complete the Pokédex requirement. The NPC can be found with blonde hair on the right side of an area of tall grass holding a handbag, facing east.

Players will also need to find a Mothim in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in order to receive the National Dex. Similar to Wormadam, players can either catch or find a Mothim in Pokémon BDSP in order to fulfill this Pokédex requirement. Mothim is the evolved form of a male Burmy and is a more offensive Pokémon that is a little more useful in battle. It upholds the traditional Bug and Flying-type combination that most insect-inspired Pokémon have.
