Workaholics: Main Characters Ranked By Likability

Workaholics is known for its oddball characters. Blake Henderson, Adam DeMamp, and Anders “Ders” Holmvik present their funny antics in nearly every episode. However, they are among a few other main players in the series. The others they come into contact with in and out of work help highlight their more and less affable qualities.

The conflicts coming from some of Workaholics‘ highest-rated episodes present memorable conflicts. During these challenges, characters present their likability in the way they react. Their demeanor and actions reveal their best and worst qualities.

Alice Murphy

Maribeth Monroe plays the boss of the main guys at their telemarketing job. Some fans know Monroe from her likable character in The Good Place. However, Alice is a much different character. A boss is rarely presented as a lovable personality in a sitcom, and Alice doesn’t break the mold. Audiences see her lash out at her employees dozens of times throughout the series.

Alice isn’t without certain affable qualities. For example, she gathers funds to gift the office a massage chair. However, she is characterized by her short temper, mean comments, and perpetually irritated attitude. Alice has several frequently-showcased personality traits, but kindness is very low on the list.

Karl Hevacheck

Kyle Newacheck’s Karl is Ders, Adam, and Blake’s drug dealer. He appears in the show as such, although he is often trying to wedge his way into the main guys’ life as a closer friend. He is central to several episodes, like “True Dromance,” when the guys find someone else to get their goods from. Karl is hurt as a result, and the episode’s running joke is that Karl and the guys act as if they are ending a romantic relationship, using all of the “it’s not you, it’s me” tropes.

Karl causes trouble many times in Workaholics. His absent-mindedness is the source of various challenges Blake, Ders, and Adam face. Karl is funny, but he is careless. He wants to be friends with the main guys, but they are annoyed by him, and often end up dealing with the consequences of his self-serving behavior. He is willing to help when Blake, Ders, and Adam need him, but he rarely ends up improving their situations.

Montez Walker

Erik Griffin’s Montez works at TelAmeriCorp. He is one of the company’s better employees. Montez showcases certain negative qualities. He is arrogant and often boasts and brags about his abilities to his co-workers. He sometimes flies off the handle in outbursts when things don’t go his way.

However, he is one of the more affable co-workers the main guys interact with in the series. Montez is helpful and advises Blake, Ders, and Adam on several occasions. He is passionate, and a good and loving husband to his wife Colleen. He is confident, pleasant, and likes to have a good time.

Jillian Belk

Jillian Bell plays Jillian Belk. She is one of Adam, Blake, and Ders’ co-workers. Supporting characters like Jillian help make Workaholics one of Comedy Central’s highest-rated shows. Although sometimes presented as incompetent, she is ambitious and tries to do well at TelAmeriCorp. Jillian is generally pleasant. She functions most frequently as an awkward and unconfident member of the team.

However, during certain plotlines, she is given responsibility and her dark qualities come out. When she and Blake share ownership of a cat, she is quick to fly off the handle. When Alice puts her in charge at work, she lets the power go to her head. However, she is loyal and helps out the main guys like when she scares off a bully at an after-work karaoke event.

Adam DeMamp

Adam is one of the main characters in Workaholics. Many fans call Adam in Workaholics Adam Devine’s funniest role. Audiences relate to Adam through his various adventures throughout the series. He is arrogant, but his behavior is part of the running joke of his insecurity. However, he presents several affable qualities.

Adam is a good friend and puts Blake and Ders before himself several times. He encourages a shy Blake when the guys try and steal beer in pursuit of a few romantic interests. However, he also pokes fun at Blake with Anders to the point where it sometimes appears to be mean-spirited bullying. He is impulsive but generally friendly and pleasant.

Blake Henderson

Blake Anderson plays a fictionalized version of himself in Blake Henderson. He is perhaps the most happy-go-lucky member of the main group of guys in Workaholics. He presents a boyish charm and a shyness not shared by Ders and Adam. As such, he is sometimes the target of ridicule from his friends.

Blake is kind. He is compassionate and looks out for others. He sometimes flies off the handle like Ders and Adam, but he is often the most in control of the trio. He is sensitive, and as such has a unique perspective on others. He isn’t the most capable of the group. He is sometimes helpful, shown in acts like when he helps Karl prepare for his wedding. He is the most cheerful of the group, and perhaps the least selfish.

Anders “Ders” Holmvik

Anders Holm plays Ders Holmvik. He is perhaps the smartest member of the main trio and shows his competence several times throughout Workaholics. He is arrogant like Adam and presents the image of confidence to overcompensate for his insecurity. He is an athlete and the hardest worker of the trio.

Anders is more mature than his peers, and as such, handles several responsibilities for his friends. He shows his capability in flashbacks showing him on his college swim team, and an active RA in his dorm. Ders can be unpredictable, like when he becomes raving and unhinged on his birthday. He sometimes bullies Blake with Adam. However, he values his friendship above all else and perpetually looks out for his blundering pals.
